Hi, I am a Research Assistant at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, where I work in the RISLab under the guidance of Dr. Wennie Tabib.

Before joining CMU, I was a Research Intern in the STOCH Lab at IISc Bangalore, where I worked with Dr. Shishir N.Y. Kolathaya on legged robotics . I hold dual degrees (B.Tech and M.Tech) in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India. During my M.Tech, I completed my thesis in the CPS Lab under the supervision of Dr. Indranil Saha, focusing on multi-UAV system and aerial mapping.

Research and Work Experience

1. Quadruped Locomotion Control | STOCH Lab, IISc Bangalore

Developed a Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning (HRL)–based controller for quadruped robot locomotion across diverse environments, including uphill/downhill terrain and varying surface textures. Contributed to the robot controller stack built on the ROS 2 framework, enabling it to be both robot- and controller-agnostic.

2. Aerial Mapping with Multi-UAV System | CPS Lab, IIT Kanpur

Developed a framework for Multi-UAV coverage path planning over a large area, enabling generation of online map at a ground station. Adapted a mesh optimization based image stitching method that generates natural stitched image efficiently with minimal shape distortion.
